ABOUT ME
Hi, I'm Lily!
I teach piano and violin following the RCM program, helping students grow with a solid foundation.
With experience performing at large venues such as
Casa Loma Symphony Orchestra and our very own Rubato Quartet, I bring music to life in every lesson.
My students enjoy the chance to shine on stage, in competitions and build confidence through performances.

Student Testimonials
,,
Lily has been the most incredible piano teacher for our daughter. Not only has she helped her win a gold medal in this year’s regional competition, but she’s also made piano lessons something she looks forward to every week. Lily’s patience, kindness, and infectious love of music make her truly one of a kind.

Lily is an exceptional teacher who helped me achieve my MCV4M credit, which helped me with admissions to UofT by showing a strong 7th supplamentary credit.

All musical schools made me feel rushed and never got the true value we needed for Julie. Lily's commitment shows that teaching isn’t just about time, but about giving real value and nurturing a love for music and with a purpose.

Ms. Lily helped Kathy deal with her shyness in playing piano in front of others, especially in the Christmas gathering at their place. One thing I liked is that she never forced her or put her in an uncomfortable position to play. We were amazed to see her play becaue she wanted to play by seeing others play and didn't want to be left out. Ms. Lily always brought an "audience" during practice to make her feel comfortable.

One thing that stands out with Ms. Lily is that she did not treat us like a robot like other teachers did, where one student comes in and the other leaves. There was always a level of interaction and understanding from her, and expectation from one lesson to the other. It was really good to see her learn faster than what other schools had provided, and with quality. My daughter was able to achieve her grade 5 RCM with confidence.

Expectations
Piano
Piano students must have consistent access to an acoustic or digital instrument with 88 weighted keys, a damper pedal if possible, and a height adjustable seat.
Piano students are expected to maintain short fingernails that allow for the skin of the fingertips to contact the piano keys. This is absolutely necessary to learn healthy piano technique.
Violin
Violins range in size from 1/16 to full size (4/4), and selecting the correct size is essential for healthy playing and progress. An instrument that is too large can cause tension and difficulty, while one that is too small may restrict proper technique.
During the first lesson, the student’s arm length and hand position will be assessed to confirm the correct size. If a different instrument is required, recommendations will be provided to ensure the student begins their studies with the best possible setup.
In General
Practice a little every day instead of cramming once in a while.
Pay attention to posture, relaxation, and sound while playing.
